Job summary

Treasure Island Resort & Casino is seeking a Payroll Specialist to lead and manage weekly payroll for 1,100+ employees in Minnesota. You will hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of disbursements.

You will coordinate taxes, withholdings, and W-2 reporting while collaborating with our external payroll vendor. Ideal candidates bring a 2-year degree in accounting or related field, plus 3 years of payroll experience, including ADP Workforce Now and Kronos.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Accounting or related field and 3 years experience processing a weekly payroll for 1100+ employees; or combination of equivalent experience and/or education
• 1 year experience with ADP / Workforce Now and Kronos workforce management
• Knowledge of applicable payroll regulations and reporting requirements

Pay Rate: Starting at $68,640

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
• Manage the payroll process to provide accurate and timely disbursements
• Coordinate payment of payroll related taxes and withholdings
• Prepare ledger and W-2 reporting

• Coordinate with outside payroll vendor and resolve issues

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed primarily in administration building but may include going onto the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays

• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
