CalvertHealth seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll across multiple entities, using KRONOS Workforce Central and ADP Workforce Now. You will verify time records, resolve payroll queries, and coordinate with departments and vendors to ensure accurate, compliant pay.

A high school diploma is required, with payroll certification preferred. Often required to work independently, you’ll maintain strong control processes and contribute to reliable financial reporting.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years of payroll-related experience; ideally with ADP Workforce Now and KRONOS.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; payroll certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel strongly desired.
• Knowledge of general ledger reporting and auditing processes and integrity.

  • Job Summary:
    • Processes a multi-company, bi-weekly payroll operation using KRONOS Workforce Central and ADP Workforce Now. Receives, verifies, and reconciles employee time records, answers inquiries regarding payroll issues, and communicates with other departments and outside vendors to resolve payroll-related issues. Uses independent judgment and discretion to resolve payroll issues. Adheres to accounting and auditing internal controls to assure operational effectiveness and efficiency, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Education:
    • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
    • Payroll certification preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Position requires a minimum 3 years of recent payroll-related experience to include preparation and processing, preferably with ADP Workforce Now and KRONOS applications, or directly related accounting experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and intermediate knowledge of Excel strongly desired. Knowledge of accounting processes related to general ledger reporting and auditing procedures and integrity.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
    • Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with internal and external customers and in promoting a positive work atmosphere.
