Job description
Provide direction, guidance, coaching, compensation recommendations and conduct performance evaluations for staff. Cultivate and coordinate necessary employee training and statistical reporting to enhance employee performance. Provide comprehensive knowledge and understanding for processing of each payroll logsheet while performing cross training exercises with team to ensure proficient backups are maintained for all payroll processing activities.
Evaluate best practices and staffing needs to determine short and long term goals to reduce company expense and implement process improvements. Communicate findings with management on a regular basis.
Support paystub posting and paycard administration including enrollments and funding, research employee address discrepancies and communicate finding with vendors, maintain stock and equity payments and adjustments ensuring accurate and timely processing into applicable payroll systems.
Maintain detailed payroll system processes and procedures, log sheet updates, while working with management team and Financial Systems Support to determine correct placement for new programs and system updates including software and application test reviews and consultation for upgrades and overall system administration.
Assists in the testing and completion of required updates to legacy payroll systems to ensure successful implementation and desired results.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
