Job summary

Russ Darrow Corporate in Menomonee Falls, WI seeks a Payroll Clerk to compile, verify, and process payroll data while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. You will also assist employees with payroll questions to ensure a smooth, professional experience.

The role involves working closely with HR and accounting teams, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payroll processing with direct deposits and paychecks. Training is provided on payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Paycom experience and proficiency required.
• Payroll experience preferred.
• Accounting experience preferred.
• Dealership/automotive experience preferred.
• Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Compile and process payroll data, including hours worked, commissions, bonuses, and deductions.
• Review timesheets and supporting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Calculate wages, taxes, and deductions, ensuring all payroll entries are accurate.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and compensation changes.
• Review and reconcile payroll accounts and payroll-related general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Process payroll in a timely manner, including preparing and issuing paychecks or direct deposits.
• Prepare payroll reports, including earnings, tax filings, and deduction summaries.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll regulations and policies.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional, timely, and confidential manner.
• Maintain organized records and a clean, efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
• Support additional administrative and payroll-related tasks as needed.
