Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Raleigh, NC to administer and process payroll bi-weekly for assigned lines of business and support employees across the enterprise. You will handle inquiries, maintain documentation, and contribute to system improvements to ensure accurate and timely compensation.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of multi-state payroll experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with data entry and HR systems such as Kronos and PeopleSoft.

• Demonstrated data entry experience.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and process payroll for assigned line of business on a bi-weekly basis.
• Maintain processing task list and documentation according to department standards.
• Provide payroll support to all employees across the enterprise. Answer employee questions and concerns via phone or email.
• Provide support covering department help desk and coverage for other team members when needed.
• Participate in system testing for software/hardware upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
• Distribute Short Term Disability items to the processing team and review adjustments during payroll processing.
• Manage garnishment documents, withholding orders, and wage verification.
• Ensure accuracy of processed garnishment data through review of reports.
