Job summary

Briarwood Health Center by Harborview is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations, prepare earnings and tax reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. The role focuses on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing in a healthcare setting.

You will work with payroll systems, support benefits administration, and assist in resolving discrepancies while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll processing, accounting, or related field.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and timekeeping platforms (Paycom, ADP, or similar).
• Working knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Experience with government or healthcare payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Prepare reports for management review.
• Assist with benefits administration.
• Duties as assigned.
