Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, on-time employee pay in full compliance with wage and tax laws. You will manage payroll data, calculations, and reporting while collaborating with HR Technology to troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of SAP/Successfactors payroll experience.
• 3+ years of ADP Smart Compliance experience.
• Strong data analysis and SOX control experience.
• Proficient in Office 365 and MS Excel.
• Excellent client service orientation and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and verification of timesheets, hours worked, deductions and status changes.
• Process and distribute pay via checks or direct deposits and issue statements.
• Support leaders with time entry approvals and Time and Labor questions.
• Respond to payroll inquiries with confidentiality.
• Stay current with payroll laws and SOX controls.
• Coordinate with HR Technology to troubleshoot processing issues.
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll cycles and off-cycle runs as needed.
• Audit pay components and resolve issues promptly.
