Job summary

Kforce is recruiting for a payroll specialist position in Fort Lee, NJ on behalf of a growing real estate company. You will handle end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for about 500 employees across multiple states, for salaried and hourly, full-time and part-time workers across four entities.

You will partner with Accounting and HR on compensation, record maintenance, employee benefit payments, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accurate payroll and fairness in policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field (preferred)
• Certified Payroll Professional (preferred)
• 3-7 years of experience overseeing payroll in a multi-state environment with ADP
• In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements
• Highly competent end-user of relevant office technologies, software, and systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel and HRIS software skills
• Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines
• Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential information
• Excellent communication with diverse audiences and teamwork
• ADP Workforce Now experience preferred, other ADP versions considered
• Union payroll experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• End-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for ~500 employees across multiple states
• Process, review, and approve payroll for salaried/hourly, full-time/part-time staff
• Collaborate with Accounting and HR on compensation, benefits, and compliance
• Maintain payroll records and adhere to laws, regulations and policies
