Job summary

Stitch Fix is seeking a Payroll Associate to ensure accurate biweekly payroll for 4,000+ employees across a multi-state environment. You will own large portions of the payroll cycle, resolving complex issues and ensuring compliance.

You will partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance as a payroll SME, maintain controls, and drive continuous improvements using Excel, payroll systems like ADP, Workday, and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with payroll/HRIS systems such as ADP Vantage, Workforce, and Workday.

Responsibilities

• Own significant portions of the biweekly payroll cycle, including audits, time validation, and close activities.
• Resolve complex payroll issues independently with documentation and follow-through.
• Perform detailed payroll reconciliations and variance analyses in support of general ledger tie-outs.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance and others to identify root causes, resolve systemic payroll issues and drive process improvements.
• Maintain SOPs, analyze recurring errors, mentor junior team members, and leverage Excel and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
