Job summary

Acrisure is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Grand Rapids, MI to support accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll across multiple frequencies and entities. The role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-entity environment.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of payroll experience, proficiency in Excel, and hands-on experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll, HR, accounting, or related operational experience
• Experience with multi‑state payroll processing
• Proficiency in data validation, reconciliation, and payroll reporting

Responsibilities

• Process assigned payrolls across multiple frequencies and entities
• Serve as primary payroll contact for designated business units and partners
• Review inputs (hours, earnings, deductions, taxes) for accuracy and compliance
• Perform full-cycle payroll runs, off-cycle payments, and corrections
• Maintain payroll records in HRIS/Payroll systems and ensure data integrity
• Support year-end activities including W‑2 validation and reporting
• Respond to payroll inquiries and provide timely, accurate resolutions
