Job summary

Armor Health is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team and support payroll operations for approximately 1,000 employees across multiple locations and legal entities. This is a hands-on payroll processing role for an experienced payroll professional who can step in and contribute immediately.

The ideal candidate has independently processed payroll for a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees, has experience managing multi-site, multi-EIN payroll, and is comfortable

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience independently processing payroll for approximately 1,000 employees.
• Multi-site and multi-EIN payroll experience.
• Paylocity payroll experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work confidently with large amounts of payroll data.
• Ability to manage strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll across multiple locations and EINs.
• Independently manage the end-to-end payroll process, from payroll preparation through finalization.
• Review payroll for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, garnishments, adjustments, and other payroll-related transactions.
• Process payroll across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions while ensuring tax and compliance requirements.
• Reconcile payroll and resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and operational leaders to resolve payroll issues and ensure accurate employee pay.
• Research and resolve complex payroll questions with urgency and attention to detail.
• Manage payroll-related reporting, audits, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiency.
