Job summary

Texas Health is seeking a Payroll Specialist III to support payroll processes and resolve complex payroll issues from Arlington, TX. The role offers remote work with on-site HQ in Arlington and a hybrid option at manager's discretion.

You will partner with accounting and HR to ensure accurate payroll processing. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience, knowledge of PS/Oracle, and strong technical payroll skills.

Qualifications

• 5 years payroll experience required.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll (PS) is preferred; Oracle Payroll experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and GL impacts.
• Experience with payroll implementations, integrations or process improvements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers complex payroll inquiries and tracks issue resolution for payroll-related problems.
• Researches and resolves complex payroll issues.
• Manages state and local tax issues and jurisdictional requirements for out-of-state workers.
• Prepares payroll-related weekly/monthly/year-end reporting.
• Works with General Ledger to ensure payroll entries are reflected in the GL.
• Performs special projects as assigned by leadership.

Work Hours:Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week (Hybrid work allowed at manager's discretion)

What You Will Do

Answers complex customer inquiries and tracks issue resolution for payroll involving paychecks and direct deposit issues, employee payroll deductions, processing executive payroll, federal/state and local tax related issues, etc. 25%25
Researches and resolves complex payroll issues 25%25
Manage State and local tax issues including keeping track of out of state workers and jurisdictional requirements 20%25
Prepares payroll related weekly/monthly/year-end required reporting and other necessary payroll related information 15%25
Works with the General Accounting Department to verify that payroll entries and sub-ledgers are accurately reflected on the General Ledger 10%25
Special projects as assigned by leadership 5%25

What You Need:

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Pref

Experience

5 Years Payroll experience Req

Experience with PeopleSoft (PS) Payroll desired but Oracle Payroll systems preferred.

Strong knowledge of payroll processes and General Ledger impacts, and experience with payroll implementations, integrations, or process improvements preferred.
