Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll experience with a Bachelor's degree or 1–3 years with a Master's degree.
• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance with accounting requirements.
• Ability to support internal/external auditors and resolve issues.
• Knowledge of tax laws and IRS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing routine company payroll and validating timesheets.
• Audit, reconcile, and resolve straightforward payroll processing issues.
• Coordinate with system programmers to reconcile payroll system issues.
• Prepare responses to external audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Assist in manual wage calculations for temporary work, bonuses, vacations, terminations.
• Verify payroll reporting and payments comply with policies and regulations.
• Mark records for retention.
