Durwood Greene Construction Co. is a Houston-area paving contractor seeking a Payroll Specialist to partner with HR, Payroll, and Accounting to meet payroll deadlines. The role involves data entry, PTO processing, and time-report support in a busy office environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year payroll experience, strong organizational skills, and professional communication. This is a full-time, on-site position with overtime as needed and company benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in payroll or HR admin.
• Associate's degree or equivalent training completed.
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Must be positive, friendly and professional.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.

Responsibilities

• Upload time daily, throughout the day.
• Run Labor distribution reports & payroll register to look for errors weekly.
• Walk employees through time app and PTO app when issues occur or are new.
• Look over PTO requests weekly to ensure correct entry and deadlines.
• Upload PTO into CE and Holiday Pay.
• Collect time approvals and fix time in CE.
• Enter Pay Adjustments and Retro Pay when needed.
• Submit VOEs and run reports for departments.
