Job summary

Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino is seeking a dedicated payroll professional to manage the full payroll cycle for its diverse team. You will handle timekeeping imports, wage calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with Gaming Commission and state/federal regulations.

The role requires 2+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, proficiency with payroll software and Excel, and the ability to work varied schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ full-cycle payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing payroll for a high-volume, multi-department workforce.

Responsibilities

• Process the complete payroll cycle for a high-volume, multi-department workforce; import and audit time and attendance data, calculate wages, overtime, tips/gratuities, and retroactive adjustments, and process scheduled pay runs accurately.
• Administer and maintain the timekeeping system; ensure punches, schedules, and approvals are accurate, and resolve missed-punch and edit corrections before payroll close
• Set up and maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status and rate changes, direct deposit, and tax withholding elections
• Calculate, enter, and remit deductions in compliance with applicable requirements and laws
• Reconcile benefit, retirement, and voluntary deductions to payroll each cycle; research discrepancies
• Support payroll tax compliance including W-2s and quarterly/annual filings
• Serve as backup to Payroll/Benefits Manager to complete full payroll runs during absence
• Respond to escalated payroll inquiries with confidentiality and professionalism
• Maintain audit-ready payroll records and prepare reports and reconciliations; support audits
