Job summary

Gill Auto Group in Northern California is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our growing team. This role compiles and maintains payroll records, ensuring accuracy across hours, bonuses, taxes, and benefits.

You will handle paychecks, COBRA paperwork, and payroll-related reports, while keeping detailed records for leaves and changes in employee compensation. Two to four years of related experience or training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Experience compiling payroll data and processing paychecks.
• Familiar with payroll regulations and COBRA paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, bonuses, commissions, and withholdings from time sheets and other records.
• Updates payroll records with changes in exemptions and compensation.
• Computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
• Prepares and issues paychecks.
• Maintains leave records and prepares earnings reports.
• Files hiring and termination paperwork including COBRA letters.
