Job summary

Livermore Ford Lincoln Alfa Romeo Maserati is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our growing team. This role compiles payroll data, verifies hours, processes wages, and ensures accurate tax withholdings and benefit deductions for all employees.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of payroll experience or training.
• Experience with payroll systems and tax withholding is preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, bonuses, and deductions from timesheets and records.
• Updates payroll records with changes affecting net wages, exemptions, and benefits.
• Computes wages, deductions, and posts to payroll records; prepares and issues paychecks.
• Keeps records of vacation pay and nontaxable wages; prepares periodic earnings reports.
• Prepares/files hiring and termination paperwork including COBRA letters.
• Maintains records for vacations and sick-day eligibility.
• Processes insurance forms and payments with office manager coordination.
• Communicates payroll issues clearly and professionally; maintains neat work area.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
