Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of accounting, payroll, audit, financial analysis, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet month-end deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in semi-monthly payroll functions.
• Assist the Payroll Manager in assigned tasks.
• Compile and enter payroll data, such as hours worked, taxes, and deductions from time sheets; ensure accurate, on-time pay; keep payroll files up to date.
• Check time-worked inputs for errors and make changes.
• Understand wage and hour policies and employment tax laws; determine pay and deductions including taxes, insurance, retirement, and other deductions.
• Additional duties as assigned.
