Job summary

W.O. Grubb Crane Rental is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to compile and record employee time and payroll data for the organization.

The role may involve calculating time worked, production, and commissions, as well as processing wages and deductions to prepare paychecks. The position requires attention to detail, proficiency with payroll systems and Excel, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing.
• Knowledge of Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, including proper calculation, documentation, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Basic to intermediate Accounting skills to reconcile payroll data, journal entries, and reports.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees, supervisors, HR, and accounting.
• Prior experience in payroll coordination or a related administrative role; experience in construction, industrial services, or equipment rental is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in payroll or accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile and record employee time and payroll data for the organization.
• Compute employees’ time worked, production, and commissions.
• Compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks.
• Exercise independent judgment in payroll preparation under limited supervision.
• Work long hours and be prepared to work as long as necessary to perform duties.
