Job summary

Current is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing for multiple clients and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with the accounting team on day-to-day payroll operations across varied client bases and pay structures, maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy.

The role requires 1–3 years of payroll experience, proficiency with payroll software, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of payroll or related accounting experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of payroll processing and tax regulations (federal, state, and local).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple clients weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.
• Review and verify payroll data, including hours, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant regulations and labor laws.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll tax filings such as 941s, 940s, W-2s, and 1099s.

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
