Job summary

CATON CONSTRUCTION GROUP, one of The Caton Companies, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our accounting team at our corporate office in Troy (Zion Crossroads), Virginia. This is an in-person role at our corporate office in Troy, Virginia.

The Payroll Specialist will compile and maintain all construction payroll, provide weekly/bi-weekly gross pay reports to our parent company, and reconcile to final payroll reports.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of payroll administration experience.
• Experience in construction/government contracts and multi-state environment.
• Knowledge of payroll related GL accounts and GAAP reporting.
• Meticulous, resourceful, and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.
• Maintain employee data and payroll documents.
• Prepare certified payroll reports for Davis Bacon Act.
• Reconcile payroll GL accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Assist with onboarding and audits.
