Job summary

Columbia Tech is seeking a payroll professional in Westborough, MA to manage daily payroll operations, benefits deductions, and 401(k) funding while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate reporting. The role requires hands-on ADP payroll systems experience and strong knowledge of wage and hour laws.

The candidate will maintain employee records, generate reports, and support managers with time and attendance systems. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of payroll processing experience
• Experience with ADP payroll systems
• Strong knowledge of payroll administration principles and best practices
• Understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and garnishments
• UKG HRIS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform daily payroll operations and related administrative tasks
• Manage bi-weekly payroll workflow on schedule
• Reconcile payroll data and validate reports
• Post payroll GL entries and reconcile with cash accounts
• Manage 401(k) submission funding for IRS compliance
• Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, and deductions
• Process benefit enrollments and related deductions
• Calculate wage garnishments in compliance with laws
• Generate payroll reports for vendors and stakeholders
• Enter new hires and updates in UKG HRIS and ADP
• Maintain employee records including salary changes and status updates
