Job summary

Tom Wood Group in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage biweekly payroll for 1,000+ employees, ensure accuracy and compliance, and provide exceptional support to staff.

You will collaborate with Finance, IT, and Operations to maintain records, run ADP reporting, and handle garnishments, new hires, terminations, and time-off processing. The role requires a degree in HR/Business or equivalent, strong communication, and a high level

Qualifications

• Prior payroll experience, with knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Degree in HR, Business, Accounting or equivalent payroll experience.
• Ability to partner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, and leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• High level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for 1,000+ employees using ADP Workforce Now.
• Process payroll reporting after each transmittal.
• Send out biweekly and supplemental payroll reports to store locations.
• Coordinate time, attendance, and time-off approvals weekly.
• Administer garnishments and child support.
• ADP reporting for executives, GM, and office managers.
• Verify new hire information in ADP and report to states.
• Handle termination paperwork and maintain files.
• Perform other payroll duties as assigned.
