World Acceptance Corporation is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll for designated employee groups and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will analyze payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and handle manual inputs while supporting HR and management.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Prior corporate payroll experience and knowledge of multi-state final pay laws are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college degree a plus.
• Two or more years of corporate payroll experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll bi-weekly for designated employee groups, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analyze payroll information and resolve discrepancies prior to processing.
• Process manual inputs and review others' manual inputs for accuracy.
• Handle terminations in compliance with multi-state final pay laws.
• Serve as contact for payroll questions to employees, management and HR.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation per policy and retention rules.
• Provide backup support to ensure continuity of payroll operations.
