Job summary

Tops Markets is seeking a Payroll Representative to manage weekly payroll and respond to employee pay questions. You will support a fast-paced payroll department and ensure compliance with federal and state laws and the collective bargaining agreement.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of administrative experience, strong communication, detail orientation, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook. Maintaining confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1–2 years of administrative experience preferred.
• Proficient in a PC environment; MS Word/Excel/Outlook a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail; planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly in-house payroll.
• Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal and state laws and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries.
• Run and administer weekly warehouse reporting.
• Handle accounting/reporting functions.
• Process warehouse office supply orders.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
