Job summary

Confidential in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate weekly and biweekly payroll processing, maintain employee payroll records, and resolve payroll inquiries.

The role partners with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Accounting, supports payroll system enhancements and testing, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while handling deductions, garnishments, and year-end activities. Experience with UKG Pro/UltiPro and advanced Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with UKG Pro/UltiPro preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for a large employee population.
• Review payroll data, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and time records, to ensure accuracy.
• Manage employee payroll changes such as hires, terminations, transfers, pay adjustments, and bonuses.
• Administer garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, and other payroll deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting, year-end activities, audits, and payroll reporting.
• Support payroll system enhancements, testing, and process improvements.
