Job summary

PACK Power, LLC in West Fargo, ND is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll for multiple companies, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and support the accounting team with related financial tasks.

Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of payroll experience.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with payroll systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly payroll for multiple companies.
  • Process wage garnishments and child support orders in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports.
  • Ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing for projects subject to prevailing wage requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, concerns, and discrepancies.
  • Submit payment and file multi-state withholding and unemployment taxes accurately and on time.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance standards.
  • Prepare all quarterly and yearend tax reports (i.e. 941, W-2’s, ACA 1095-C).
  • Maintain and document all payroll records with precision and confidentiality.
  • Track and deduct optional supplemental benefits as requested by employees.
  • Assist with other accounting functions and special initiatives as directed within the department.
  • Review and audit daily timesheets.

Job description

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing for our employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting the accounting team with various financial and administrative tasks.

Location & Travel: This is onsite in our West Fargo, ND office.
