Job summary

PACK Power LLC seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to process and record financial transactions for money owed to vendors. You will verify invoices, ensure timely payments, and perform data entry to maintain accurate records.

The role collaborates with staff, supports month-end close, and assists with audits. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with preferred associates or bachelor’s in accounting or finance and experience in accounts payable and Spectrum/Microsoft Suite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in accounts payable and basic accounting knowledge preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite and Spectrum accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and record financial transactions related to payables.
• Verify invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Perform data entry to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end close and reconcile monthly statements.
• Communicate with vendors and internal staff; provide monthly reports.
• Adhere to tax regulations (sales/use tax, 1099 reporting).
• Support internal and external audits and other accounting tasks.

Position Scope

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for processing and recording the financial transactions for money a company owes to its vendors and suppliers. This role involves verifying invoices, ensuring payments are made on time to maintain good vendor relationships, and performing data entry to keep financial records complete

This is onsite in our West Fargo, ND office.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor high volume of inquiries regarding the status and other payment information
• Correspond with vendors, respond to inquiries, and produce monthly reports
• Assist with month end close
• Reconcile monthly statements to ensure all outstanding invoices have been received and entered
• Work closely with employees on invoice entries
• Assist within other areas of the Accounting Department
• Showcase excellent customer service for both internal and external customers
• Ensure accuracy of accounts payable related to general ledger accounts
• Adhere to tax regulations, such as sales/use tax and 1099 reporting requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field preferred
• Experience in accounts payable and/or general accounting knowledge preferred
• Experience working in Microsoft Suite and/ or Spectrum accounting software preferred
