The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing in the construction industry, experience with multi-state processing, and knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting. Position Overview:

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for 400 employees, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of payroll records. You will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and maintaining financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process payroll for 600 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
2. Post payroll records to the correct ledgers.
3. Maintain payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, and leave balances.
4. Prepare and distribute payroll reports and documentation as needed.
5. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
6. Analyze regular vs. overtime hours for accuracy.
7. Analyze craft classes and pay rates for accuracy.
8. Track salary adjustments, vacation, and sick (where applicable) time.
9. Prepare and file all payroll tax returns.
10. Ensure all tax deposits are accurate and made on a timely basis.
11. Participate in year-end payroll tasks (tax rate changes, W-2’s, ACA forms, etc.)
12. Update employee deductions for new calendar year.
13. Perform payroll verifications and certifications as needed.
14. Remit child support and garnishment payments timely.
15. Prepare and distribute weekly Certified Payroll reports.
