iiPay offers a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated German Payroll Specialist who aims to deliver German payroll services for a range of international clients, contributing to our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.

All roles can be performed remotely, with occasional visits to the office as requested by your manager. Our team members can work remotely, on a hybrid basis, or fully in-office, depending on their preference and location.

Role Overview

Our motivated and engaged team members are central to our success! This role involves working closely with clients to deliver a professional, high-quality German Payroll service.

Requirements:

Key objectives of the role

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in German payroll and demonstrate a proven track record in:

Payroll delivery and service level management

Delivering accurate, compliant German payrolls for a group of international clients, coordinating and fulfilling client requirements to ensure statutory compliance and efficient service.

Operational excellence

Continuously improving systems, processes, and payroll delivery to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

Communication

Maintaining clear and informative communication with clients, payroll operations management, and client account managers.

Country legislation knowledge

Being the primary contact for German payrolls, developing detailed knowledge of statutory processes and legislative deadlines in Germany, and collaborating with the implementation team for new client payrolls.

Escalation and problem resolution

Managing client escalations effectively, seeking assistance when necessary.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Experience managing multiple payrolls and client relationships in a multi-client environment, with a proven record of delivering German payrolls.
  • Experience with DATEV Software is desirable; full training will be provided.
  • Deep understanding of German payroll complexities, including terms, conditions, and wage code treatments.
  • Knowledge of German legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Multilingual skills in German and Business English.
  • Experience working with international clients, including large corporations (FTSE & Fortune 500), with strong communication skills to build trust.
  • A motivated, driven professional with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in a service delivery environment.
  • Highly organized, with pride in work quality.
  • Ability to interact effectively and assertively with clients in a professional manner.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data manipulation.
