Job summary

RGP is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for about 1,800 employees across North America, handling high-volume weekly cycles and utilizing ADP Vantage. This role supports US and Canadian payroll with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, excels at reconciling data, and communicates effectively with HR and Finance. A hybrid/remote work setup is available, with year-end activities and regulatory reporting included.

Responsibilities

• Process multiple weekly payrolls across hourly and salary populations (including Canada)

• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations across jurisdictions
• Partner with HR, Finance and stakeholders on payroll-impacting lifecycle changes
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and supporting documentation for requirements
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes and processes
• Support year-end payroll activities, audits and regulatory reporting
• Recommend process improvements to maintain efficient payroll operations

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist for our south suburban manufacturing client. As a Payro ll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for approximately 1,800 employees across North America. This position requires a hands‑on payroll professional with strong experience in ADP Vantage and the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles in a fast‑paced environment.

What You Will Work On

• Process multiple weekly payrolls across both hourly and salary employee populations, including Canada.
• Utilize ADP Vantage to manage payroll transactions, employee updates, earnings, deductions, taxes, and reporting activities.
• Review payroll data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and research and resolve payroll‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local payroll regulations, company policies, and tax requirements.
• Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and other stakeholders to support employee lifecycle changes affecting payroll.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external requirements.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll processes with a high level of customer service.
• Support year‑end payroll activities, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Recommend process improvements and help maintain efficient payroll operations.

What You Will Bring
