Holland & Knight in Tampa, FL is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing across the firm. You will maintain data integrity in the HRIS, answer employee inquiries, and help ensure payroll practices meet regulatory requirements.

The role collaborates with HR and finance, handles wage garnishments and reporting, and supports audits and special projects. A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of payroll experience are required, with Workday and Co-Pilot

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of payroll experience.
• Workday payroll experience preferred.
• Experience with AI tools (Co-Pilot) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Process payroll for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Accurate data entry of the HRIS/Payroll system.
• Process payroll corrections as required; elevate issues to Payroll Manager.
• Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Responsible for accurately processing all wage garnishments, levies, and child support deductions.
• Generate and distribute payroll reporting as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and employees to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Address inquiries and research issues in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist with regular audit of data entry records.
• Maintain accurate firmwide records.
• Special projects and duties assigned.

General Description

The Payroll Specialist role ensures the accurate and compliant processing of the Firm's payroll using specialized software. This position supports payroll operations by maintaining data integrity and addressing employee inquiries.

The Payroll Specialist works to ensure payroll practices meet government compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Process payroll for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Accurate data entry of the HRIS/Payroll system.
• Firm policies, processes, and procedures.
• Process payroll corrections as required; elevate issues to Payroll Manager.
• Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Responsible for accurately processing all wage garnishments, levies, and child support deductions.

Required Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years payroll experience

Preferred Qualifications & Education

• Workday payroll processing experience preferred within a high-volume team.
• Knowledge of AI tools, specifically Co-Pilot

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
