Job summary

Holland & Knight LLP in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing for all staff. You will work with HR and finance to maintain data integrity in the payroll system and respond to employee inquiries promptly.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of payroll experience, with strong data entry skills and knowledge of payroll regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and basic accounting functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Advanced data entry and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Accurate data entry processing of employee information into HRIS/Payroll system.
• Apply Firm policies, processes, and procedures.
• Process payroll corrections as required; elevate issues to Payroll Manager.
• Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Responsible for accurately processing all wage garnishments, levies, and child support deductions.
• Generate and distribute payroll reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and employees to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Address inquiries and research issues in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist with regular audit of data entry records.
• Maintain accurate firmwide records.
• Special project and duties as assigned.
