Job summary

CFS in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own multi-state payroll operations, ensure accurate and on-time pay, and directly contribute to employee satisfaction.

You’ll collaborate with HR, Accounting, and leadership to manage payroll records, regulatory compliance, year-end activities, and continuous process improvements, leveraging payroll software and HRIS. CPP certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain payroll records and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Assist with year-end processes including W-2s, tax filings, and audits.
