Job summary

Evara Health is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Clearwater, FL to support biweekly payroll processing for our multi-site healthcare network. You’ll review timecards, answer questions, and coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma and proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office; a two-year degree is preferred and experience with ADP Workforce Now or Workday is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll biweekly and ensure timely submission
  • Review timecards for accuracy and close out timecards
  • Answer questions on timecard entry from employees and supervisors
  • Submit payroll for review prior to final submission to Controller
  • Reconcile monthly benefit statements with HR to resolve discrepancies
  • Check timecards at least twice weekly and communicate errors
  • Provide orientation and training to new hires and time card supervisors
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements including HIPAA and internal policies

STANDARD RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes payroll on a biweekly basis including the following:
    • Review timecards for accuracy and completes the close out of all timecards
    • Answers questions on timecard entry from employees and supervisors
    • Submits payroll for review prior to final submission to Controller
    • Reconciles monthly benefit statements and works with HR staff to resolve discrepancies
  • Check’s timecards at least twice weekly to ensure accuracy and communicate errors with employees and timecard supervisors
  • Orientation and training presentation to new hires and time card supervisors
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with regulatory agencies and established organizational policies and procedures, including strict adherence to all Evara Health, HIPAA, State, Federal and accreditation agency rules and regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in the use of Payroll Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Two-year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or Workday Payroll System, preferred.
