Job summary

Evara Health in Clearwater is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant for Infusion Services to welcome and prepare patients, take vital signs, assist providers, and support scheduling and coordination.

The role emphasizes patient care, clinic operations, documentation in EHR, and HIPAA/compliance. This is a full-time day position with a standard Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm schedule, focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
  • Minimum two years as a Medical Assistant; EHR experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, assist with infusion prep and patient ambulation.
  • Support providers during visits with compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments; check-in patients and prepare charts.
  • Coordinate care with providers, pharmacy, and referral providers for seamless care.
  • Stock exam rooms, maintain supplies, and support daily clinic operations.
  • Maintain accurate EHR documentation and update demographics/insurance.
  • Ensure HIPAA and accreditation standards compliance; participate in daily huddles.

About This Role:
  • Patient Care & Clinical Support
    • Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, administer injections, assist patients with ambulation as needed, and prepare patients for infusion services.
    • Support providers during patient visits while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.
  • Patient Scheduling & Care Coordination
    • Schedule and reschedule appointments, check in patients, collect payments, onboard new patients, and prepare clinic charts.
    • Coordinate care by communicating with providers, pharmacy, specialists, and external referral providers and Medical Assistants to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Clinic Operations & Inventory
    • Stock exam rooms and supplies, clean and prepare treatment areas, and maintain inventory of medications, medical supplies, and patient amenities.
    • Complete routine audits, manage referral tracking, and support efficient daily clinic operations.
  • Documentation & Administrative Support
    • Maintain accurate EHR documentation, update patient demographics and insurance information, and assist with referral coordination and patient communications.
    • Prepare records and complete administrative tasks to support timely, efficient care delivery.
  • Compliance & Team Collaboration
    • Participate in daily huddles and collaborate with internal and external care teams to support exceptional patient outcomes.
    • Ensure compliance with Evara Health policies and all HIPAA, HRSA, State, Federal, and accreditation standards.
Job Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an approved MA Program
  • Required: Minimum two (2) years as a Medical Assistant. Must demonstrate required MA competencies. Experience with electronic health records highly desirable
License or Certification:
  • Active Medical Assistant certification required
  • Current CPR / BLS Certifications
