Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll functions for its infrastructure division in the United States. The role ensures accurate processing and regulatory compliance, handling hours, benefits, deductions, and tax filings across projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive payroll experience, familiarity with ADP/Paychex, and strong Excel skills. Occasional travel to project sites is required, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably for a construction company.
• Knowledge of certified payrolls for projects.
• Familiarity with payroll software systems such as ADP and Paychex.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing the payroll functions and processes within the AIS Infrastructure organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Specialist must possess a strong knowledge of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and labor laws, and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.

• Process and review payroll data, including employee hours, benefits, and deductions.
• Ensure accurate calculation and timely distribution of payroll payments to employees.
• Verify payroll information for accuracy, resolve any discrepancies, and answer payroll-related inquiries.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other payroll-related documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws to ensure compliance.

Requirements and Education

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing or related field, preferably for a construction company.
• Knowledge and ability to file certified payrolls for our projects.
• Familiarity with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, etc.).
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data.

Preferred Requirements and Education

• Experience with heavy civil construction payroll is preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
• Familiarity and experience with Viewpoint Vista software is a big plus.

Travel

• Occasional travel to project sites, meetings, and conferences as needed, ~5%.
