The ideal candidate has prior supervisory payroll experience and strong hands-on processing knowledge. UKG experience is a plus, and the team environment is collaborative and supportive.

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Supervisor to join a well-established organization in the San Diego area. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who has prior experience directly supervising a payroll team and is comfortable overseeing payroll operations in a large-scale environment.

You’ll join a collaborative, supportive team and work in a great office environment while having the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, and provide day-to-day support to payroll team members
• Oversee payroll processing to help ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and assist with resolving payroll issues
• Support payroll compliance and established policies and procedures
• Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and other internal departments
• Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and workflows
• Provide hands‑on payroll support as needed

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience within a payroll function is required
• Strong hands‑on payroll processing and operations experience
• Experience working with large-scale or high-volume payroll is highly preferred
• Experience with UKG is a plus
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and best practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effectively lead a team while remaining involved in day-to-day operations
• Base salary: $105,000–$115,000 annually
• Hybrid work schedule with regular in-office attendance required
