Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related automated payroll systems.
• Experience with MUNIS, processing experience and/or accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review, verification and processing of city-wide electronic payroll transactions.
• Ensure accuracy of deductions and third-party payments.
• Audit time and self-service pay actions for compliance with policies.
• Calculate garnishments and notify employees; initiate deductions and disbursements.
• Prepare payroll-related financial reports and filings as required.
• Maintain secure handling of payroll information and respond to payroll inquiries.
