Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; degree or coursework in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of payroll or related accounting/HR experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing practices and procedures; multi-state payroll knowledge preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and payroll or HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day payroll activities with accurate, timely processing.
  • Maintain payroll records, files, and supporting documentation.
  • Review employee timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, and related transactions.
  • Handle payments and deductions for retirement plans, HSAs, garnishments, and other programs.
  • Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and other departments to resolve payroll issues.
  • Protect confidential employee payroll information.
