Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is hiring a Manager, Payroll Operations (U.S. & Canada) to lead end-to-end payroll for 9,000+ employees. You will supervise a payroll team, ensure accurate processing, and drive governance across Finance, HR, Legal, and IT in a fast-paced, onsite GA-based setting.

The role requires 10+ years of payroll experience, expertise in U.S. and Canadian payroll, and strong leadership. Travel and onsite presence in Peachtree Corners, GA are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive payroll experience including 5+ years leading payroll professionals in a large multi-state org.
• Experience with U.S. payroll operations and Canadian payroll requirements.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax, wage-and-hour rules, and year-end reporting.
• Experience managing payroll systems, integrations, time & attendance, vendors and audits.
• Strategic thinker with change leadership and governance experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% to Sunnyvale, CA or other US locations.
• Onsite in Peachtree Corners, GA weekly (Tue–Thu).

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end payroll operations for U.S. and Canadian employees.
• Ensure payrolls are accurate, timely, and compliant with calendars and procedures.
• Support federal, state, provincial, and local payroll tax compliance and reporting.
• Maintain internal controls, SOX compliance, and governance with audits.
• Own reconciliations, variance analysis, and GL interfaces.
• Lead payroll technology initiatives with Workday and ADP.
• Develop payroll metrics and dashboards for accuracy and performance.
• Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing payroll team.
