Job summary

Versaterm, a PE-backed, high-growth SaaS company, seeks a Senior Manager, Payroll and People Operations to own payroll, benefits, leaves, compensation, and HR operations across US, Canada, and Quebec. You’ll ensure accurate payroll cycles, lead benefits design, and drive an AI-augmented HR function reporting to the CHRO.

You will oversee data integrity in BambooHR, manage EOR relationships (Rippling), and partner with Finance to maintain controls and compliant processes across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in payroll, benefits, and HR operations across multi-entity setups.
• Experience with U.S./Canada payroll, taxes, and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership experience and ability to coach a team.
• Familiarity with EOR arrangements and cross-border payroll workflows.
• Facility with AI tools to enhance payroll and compensation analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll processing across US, Canada, and Quebec; manage ad hoc payments and bonuses.
• Oversee benefits, leaves, and total rewards programs with design and vendor strategy.
• Administer HRIS (BambooHR) and ensure data integrity and reporting.
• Governance, budgeting, and audits related to payroll, benefits, and HR ops.
• Lead compensation calibration and benchmark practices with CHRO oversight.
• Develop and coach a payroll/People & Culture team; ensure security and confidentiality.
• Partner with Finance, IT, and HRBPs to optimize cross-functional processes.
