Job summary

ESPO Corporation is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead payroll processing with our outsourced provider and ensure data integrity.

This role oversees schedules, compliance, reporting, and vendor relationships, plus mentoring payroll staff and providing insights to leadership.

Direct hire, onsite, with a $120k–$150k salary range and benefits; bachelor’s in HR or related field and 5+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR data management and payroll coordination.
• Proficiency with HR software (Workday, ADP Lyric) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outsourced payroll to ensure accurate, timely processing.
• Manage payroll schedules, deductions, and adjustments with external provider.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with tax filings and year-end activities.
• Supervise or coach payroll staff and provide training.
