Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a multi-faceted organization. You will drive regulatory compliance, optimize payroll processes, and lead payroll staff across HR and Finance collaborations.

You will manage year-end activities, W-2-like reconciliations, and reporting, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years in payroll or general finance.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in HR/Payroll systems, timekeeping, and reporting.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical skills and payroll-law knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll operations & systems for accurate salaries and deductions.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, and Compensation on system configurations.
• Manage year-end payroll processing and W-2 reconciliations.
• Support audits with records and risk documentation.
• Lead payroll staff and provide development guidance.
• Design reports to analyze pay rules and garnishments.
• Budget formulation and management for the department.
