Job summary

Pilot is hiring a Consultant, Payroll Operations to provide hands-on payroll and HR operations support for a growing portfolio of businesses. You will own recurring payroll processing, payroll/HRIS implementations, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and multi-state tax registrations and compliance.

You’ll work directly with clients to keep payroll accurate, on time, and scalable as teams expand, while improving workflows and maintaining clear documentation across systems.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in payroll/HR operations or related field.
• Hands-on payroll processing and HRIS implementations.
• Experience with multi-state payroll tax and registrations.
• Experience with payroll providers transitions.
• Strong communications and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll cycle end to end for a portfolio of clients.
• Administer benefits and HR operations across systems.
• Serve as operational partner to clients, translating needs into scalable processes and improving workflows.
