Primary Services in the United States is seeking a Payroll Operations Analyst to own multi-state payroll processing across entities in a Northeast Austin, TX area. You will lead payroll hygiene, audits, and reporting during a transition from ADP Workforce Now to Workday Payroll.

The role emphasizes system testing, data validation, and process improvements while maintaining accurate payroll operations in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Hands-on ADP Workforce Now and Workday Payroll experience.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax rules.
• Experience with payroll reporting and audits.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting/Finance/HR/Business.
• Experience with payroll integrations, migrations or testing preferred.
• Experience supporting payroll for 1,000+ employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently process and reconcile complex multi-state payroll across multiple entities and pay schedules.
• Manage payroll transactions, employee adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and off-cycle payments.
• Perform detailed payroll audits to validate earnings, benefit deductions, and tax calculations.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process payroll, investigate discrepancies, and develop payroll reports.
• Support the transition to Workday Payroll through testing, validation, and documentation.
• Investigate payroll variances and reconcile records with timekeeping, HRIS, and finance data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Prepare payroll reports and analyze compensation data using Excel.
• Support payroll tax reporting, general ledger reconciliations, and year-end activities.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits to resolve payroll issues and maintain records.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency.
