Marymount University in Arlington, VA is seeking a results-driven Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with laws. You will supervise a Payroll Specialist, partner with HR and Finance, and uphold confidentiality and strong service standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in accounting/HR, 5+ years payroll experience, and solid Workday knowledge, with the ability to implement process improvements and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, business, HR, or related field.
• Five years of related payroll experience with knowledge of payroll functions, compliance and taxes.
• Workday proficiency preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Oversee payroll processing and tax reporting across multiple states.
• Serve as main contact for payroll inquiries and external agencies.
• Implement best practices and strong internal controls for payroll and GL postings.
• Maintain payroll policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with IT to resolve Workday issues and upgrades.
