Job summary

JCCGCI Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a nonprofit organization across multiple sites.

You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, and collaborate with Finance and HR to maintain payroll integrity. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ payroll experience, preferably in nonprofit settings, with UKG Ready proficiency and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3–5 years of payroll administration experience, preferably nonprofit or multi-site.
  • Experience handling payroll for funded programs or grants is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage/hour rules.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems, preferably UKG Ready.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for salaried, hourly, and grant-funded employees.
  • Ensure payroll is accurate, on schedule, and compliant with laws and policies.
  • Review and approve payroll registers, tax filings, and wage payments.
  • Maintain payroll calendars and year-end processing timelines.
  • Collaborate with HR on onboarding, offboarding, and status changes.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and coordinate with Finance for GL postings.
  • Support payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvements.
