Job summary

Quaise Energy is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead and scale our payroll function across a multi-state U.S. workforce and beyond as the company grows. You will own end-to-end payroll processing, ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, and drive system implementations, primarily with Paycom, while partnering with HR, Finance, and leadership.

The role requires deep technical payroll expertise, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Paycom implementation/administration experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage/hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for exempt, non-exempt, salaried, hourly, across multiple U.S. states.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Lead payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process improvements.
• Develop standardized payroll procedures and internal controls.
• Provide payroll guidance to employees and managers; support audits.
