Job summary

Quaise Energy, based in Houston, TX, seeks a Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll across multiple states as the company scales their growing workforce. You will own payroll compliance, tax registrations, wage-and-hour classifications, and SOX controls, while steering Paycom implementation and payroll system optimizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Paycom implementation and administration experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, FLSA, wage and hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing across multiple U.S. states and growing scope.
• Ensure accurate, timely payroll including bonuses, relocations, per diem and off-cycle runs.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Lead Paycom implementation, system enhancements, and HRIS/payroll integrations.
• Prepare payroll reports and partner with HR/Finance for audits and inquiries.
